Technical depth.
Strategic clarity.
Teams that ship.

20+ years at the intersection of deep technology and business growth. I architect systems, scale teams, and use AI — not just as a product, but as a force multiplier inside the engineering process itself.

About

Technically deep. Strategically sharp. Human first.

I've spent 20+ years at the intersection of hard technology problems and real business outcomes — from signal intelligence systems for the Department of Defense to agentic AI frameworks that automate entire business workflows. I'm as comfortable in a whiteboard architecture session as I am in a boardroom translating that architecture into a fundraising narrative or making it land for stakeholders who need to understand it, not just approve it.

I don't believe the best ideas come from the top of the org chart. I hire smart people, create the conditions for them to do their best thinking, and make the call that's right for the company and the strategy. That's how good engineering cultures actually work.

I'm also a practitioner of AI inside the process — not just the product. I use AI tools actively across the full development lifecycle to help my teams move faster, think clearer, and ship better. It's one of the highest-leverage shifts I've seen in how engineering teams operate, and I bring that hands-on fluency with me.

I'm based in Chicago and deeply rooted in its tech community. Outside of work you'll find me on a hiking trail, on a bocce court, or hunting down a great craft coffee, an interesting beer, or a well-made cocktail. I believe in craft — in code and in a good Negroni.

🥾

Hiking

Nothing resets the mind like a long trail. I chase peaks and summits — it's where I do my best thinking, from systems design to what I want from the next chapter.

🎯

Bocce

Patience, precision, reading the terrain. It turns out bocce has a lot in common with good architecture — and great company makes both better.

✈️

Traveling

New places, new frameworks for thinking. I collect perspectives the same way I collect technology patterns — always looking for what I can bring back.

Craft Coffee & Spirits

I believe in craft in all its forms. A well-pulled espresso, an interesting IPA, a perfectly made Negroni. The details matter.

Technology

Not just work — a genuine passion. Agentic AI, LLM orchestration, what's coming next. I read, experiment, and build because I can't not.

How I Lead

01

Vision to execution

I translate business ambition into technical architecture and make sure the roadmap, the team, and the infrastructure are all pointed the same direction. The gap between strategy and delivery is where most companies lose. I close that gap.

02

Smart people make the best decisions

I don't come in with all the answers. I hire people who are experts in their domains, create space for them to think and push back, and then make the call that's right for the company and the strategy. The best technical decisions I've made came from listening first.

03

AI as a force multiplier, not just a product

I use AI actively across the full development lifecycle — not just in what we ship, but in how we work. From accelerating code review to improving how teams prototype and iterate, I bring hands-on fluency with AI tooling that meaningfully raises the output and efficiency of every team I lead.

04

Depth earns trust

I stay close enough to the architecture to make the right calls and earn credibility with every engineer on the team. Leaders who understand the system deeply make better decisions — and build cultures where engineers actually trust them.

Signature Work

The work that defines the trajectory.

Two decades of building, scaling, and shipping. These are the stories that capture how I operate — the problems I've chosen, the approaches I've taken, and what came out the other side.

Nora — AI-Native Brokerage

+

As Co-founder and CTO I set the entire technical vision for an AI-native brokerage from zero. The CRM is one piece of it — the larger vision is rebuilding how brokerages operate end-to-end, replacing manual workflows and fragmented processes with autonomous agentic systems that run the business.

I designed a proprietary framework using domain-driven design that automates the full broker lifecycle, from lead management to transaction logic — staying deeply hands-on while driving the technical strategy and stakeholder communication.

divvyDOSE → UnitedHealth Group

+

I joined divvyDOSE as an engineering lead and grew with the company through hypergrowth, acquisition, and enterprise integration. I led the domain-driven design of serverless microservices that carried the platform through rapid user growth, doubled the engineering team in 18 months without losing velocity or culture, and spun up entirely new technology divisions — including customer-facing products and internal tooling that drove real business outcomes: improved NPS, reduced CAC, and meaningful OpEx efficiencies across the organization.

Post-acquisition, I drove integration across Optum and UHC — the architecture we built didn't just survive acquisition, it became the template for technology OKRs across the enterprise.

RoomZoom — Intelligence-Driven Platform

+

As Fractional CTO I transformed a roommate-matching platform into an intelligence-driven service for the NYC market. I architected a matching algorithm using data-driven insights, managed a distributed cross-functional team, and owned the full technical vision and roadmap — while staying hands-on with core platform development.

Built for scale, delivered with a lean team.
